Welcome to our monthly
Joyful Stars December Blog Hop!
You're on the right track if you've landed here from Betty's Blog! This hop is a circle of talented ladies, so be sure to continue hopping through all the blogs to see all the beautiful and ideas, especially if you've landed directly on here as your starting point.
Today I'd like to share with you a quick card, inspired by a fellow consultant I saw on YouTube. I used the Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge to make my card. The card measures 5x7 when completed.
I first set the Cricut to cut at 5 1/2 inches. I cut my card base out of Colonial White, and then selected the 'Sentiment' setting and cut the 'Merry&Bright' selection twice (one out of Cranberry, and one out of Whisper card stock).
Using a bone folder, I creased my card base (Colonial White) and then did the same for the Merry & Bright cut (Whisper). I inserted the card base into the Whisper cut and used the Bonding Memories glue to hold in place together.
I then used my paper trimmer and trimmed off the excess, leaving a 1/4 border around the Merry & Bright Cranberry card stock cut. I then attached it to the top of the Whisper cut out (layered).
As a finishing touch, I embellished the ornaments with Bitty Sparkles.
This card was super easy and I hope you like it. Please remember to leave a comment.

I really like your card. It is simple to make yet really elegant looking. Great way to showcase the Artfully Sent cartridge. We are so happy you are able to join our hop!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Betty! So happy to join the hop and look forward to hopefully being on more hops with the group! There's so much more to share on this cartridge. Hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas!
DeleteYes, welcome to the hop! Love the clean look of your card.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Andrea! It was so easy too! 😊
DeleteWelcome to the blog, your card is great and the way you photographed your card is perfect.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Joyce. My hubby had just brought down our Christmas decorations from the attic, and I thought our resin tree would be a good backdrop! It was just perfect timing. ;)
DeleteLove it! Pretty and simple!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Helen! The best part is that it was so easy to cut and put together... all less than 10 mins. ;)

Thank you for the nice welcome, Marie! I'm so happy to have been able to join and look forward to joining on future hops with more fun projects. These past few weeks were a whirlwind but I was able to enjoy a great Christmas with my family, I hope you are enjoying a great Holiday season with yours. :)
DeleteLove artfully sent for quick cards and I think you blinged this one up perfectlly!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Crystal. I love my bling and look for every opportunity to add it in where I can! LOL! :)
DeleteWhat a lovely card. I need to use that cartridge more!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nancy. I keep telling myself the same thing. Some of the blogs and YouTube channels I follow, challenge themselves to use their Cricut carts once a week, to come up with a different project/card each time. I'm going to see if I can convince myself to do the same... it would be a great way to learn all the great projects one can make from one cartridge. We'll see if I make it into one of my New Year Resolutions. ;)
DeleteLove this quick and pretty card!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lori. It was so quick and easy to put together... less than 10 mins! Thank you for your visit and nice comment. Have a great start to the New year! :)
