Joyful Stars Blog Hop - Spring Critters

Welcome to our Monthly Joyful Stars March Blog Hop!

Thank you so much for visiting today.  If you've reached my blog after visiting Helen's blog, then you're right on track!  However, if my blog is your starting point, that's okay too... just continue the hop by clicking the links at the end of each posting by each of these talented ladies, and you'll be inspired with loads of creativity.

This month, I tried something new!  I did NOT use my Cricut cartridge, but instead, used our new adorable Spring Critters Thin Cuts (Z3207) and coordinating Spring Critters Stamp Set (C1638).  I love, love, love these coordinating die and stamp sets!  Take a look below how cute the little chick and frog (also part of the set) come out when stamped and then cut...

To cut this little critters out, first I stamped them on White Daisy Cardstock, using Black CTMH Exclusive Inks Stamp pad.  I then easily aligned the coordinating thin cuts on the stamp image, with a small piece of washi tape to hold it in place - and then ran it through my Cuttlebug machine.

To make my fox and chick cards pictured above, I used papers from the Penelope Paper Packet (X7207B).  I cut a piece of the White Daisy Cardstock and colored the background 'sky' and 'grass' using the Watercolor paints (Z3132) and Paintbrush Set (Z3188).

I colored my the fox and chick critters using the ShinHan TouchTwin Markers.  I attached all components of my card using the Bonding Memories Glue Pen (Z553) and 3-D Foam Tape, behind the critters for added dimension (Z1151).

I finished off my card by adding my favorite... bling!  I love the pretty Playful Puffies (Z3205), which are butterflies, flowers, and arrows, all loaded with glitter!

I really enjoyed putting these together, and these just scream 'SPRING is HERE!' to me.  I love how the stamps also come with additional phrases like: 'How you doin? Hello there!, Birthday Wishes!, and of course... Happy Easter!' - all just in time for Spring!

Joyful Stars Blog Hop - You are Fabulous!

Joyful Stars Blog Hop

You Are Fabulous! Card

Welcome to our Monthly Joyful Stars February Blog Hop!

Thank you so much for stopping by.  If you've reached my blog after visiting Helen's then you're right on track!  However, if my blog is your starting point, that's okay too... just continue the hop by clicking the links at the end of each posting by each of these talented ladies, and you'll be inspired with loads of creativity.

This month, I share another card I made from the Artfully Sent Cartridge (exclusively by CTMH).  Do you see a pattern here?  I love making cards... and I just keep finding myself going to this cartridge because the possibilities are endless and so EASY!

My card measures 5 x 7 when completed.  I first used patterned card stock from my stash to make the card base.

Using Colonial White Card Stock, I set my Cricut to 6" and then I selected the 'Pocket Card' setting.  Referring to the designs found on page 37 of the booklet included with the cartridge, I cut out the roses with stems pattern.

I turned over the pocket card, after it was cut and covered the roses with a piece of Cranberry  card stock.  I then covered the stems with a piece of Flaxen card stock that I had 'sponged' first with New England Ivy ink for added dimension.  I used Bonding Memories glue to hold the card stock in place and then once it was aligned perfectly, I added additional glue to the entire pocket card and attached it to my card base.

Next, I used a Spellbinders die to cut out a fancy tag from the Colonial White Card Stock and stamped 'You are Fabulous' from the 'So Many Smiles' stamp set (C1619).  I inked the edges with the New England Ivy ink (using the sponge Z697).  I then used 3-D Foam Tape (Z1151) to attach my stamped tag to the bottom of the card.  For some added 'pizazz' I added Bitty Sparkles (Z1263).

I finished of the card with a hand-tied bow using some satin ribbon I found in my stash and with that, my card was done!  I hope you like it.  Please leave a comment below and let me know what you think!

Floral Card

Happy New Year and thank you for hopping on by!  Today I'd like to share with you another quick card I made from my favorite Cricut Cartridge - Artfully Sent (Exclusively from CTMH!).  The card measures 5x7 when completed.

I made a card base out of Colonial White card stock and then used some patterned paper from my stash for the background.  I then selected the 'Pocket Card' setting from page 32, and cut it out of Colonial White card stock at 6".  I attached it on top of the patterned paper, using the Bonding Memories glue to hold in place.

I then used some satin ribbon from my stash and added flat back pearls to the centers of the flowers for added dimension.  You can add our gemstones from our collection which would also look great!

This card was so easy that I was able to make it in under 10 minutes!  I hope you like it!  Please remember to leave a comment below.

Joyful Stars Blog Hop - Merry and Bright Card!

Welcome to our monthly

Joyful Stars December Blog Hop!

You're on the right track if you've landed here from Betty's Blog! This hop is a circle of talented ladies, so be sure to continue hopping through all the blogs to see all the beautiful and ideas, especially if you've landed directly on here as your starting point.

Merry & Bright Card

Today I'd like to share with you a quick card, inspired by a fellow consultant I saw on YouTube.  I used the Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge to make my card.  The card measures 5x7 when completed.

I first set the Cricut to cut at 5 1/2 inches.  I cut my card base out of Colonial White, and then selected the 'Sentiment' setting and cut the 'Merry&Bright' selection twice (one out of Cranberry, and one out of Whisper card stock).

Using a bone folder, I creased my card base (Colonial White) and then did the same for the Merry & Bright cut (Whisper).  I  inserted the card base into the Whisper cut and used the Bonding Memories glue to hold in place together.

I then used my paper trimmer and trimmed off the excess, leaving a 1/4 border around the Merry & Bright Cranberry card stock cut.  I then attached it to the top of the Whisper cut out (layered).

As a finishing touch, I embellished the ornaments with Bitty Sparkles.

This card was super easy and I hope you like it. Please remember to leave a comment.

New Magnolia Card Shares!

Hi there!

Tonight I was feeling the crafty mojo again, and made two new cards.  :)  I just love using the corrugated card bases from Michaels Arts and Crafts.

The stamped images are from Magnolia and then I colored them with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I cut them out with my Spellbinders dies and then used pop-dots to give them a little dimension.  I then used Stickles from Ranger Ink to add a little bling of course!  Additional embellishments like the pearls and rhinestones were from Michaels and Hobby Lobby.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Happy crafting!  ~ Evie ;)

Paper from Hobby Lobby and seahorses from K and Company.

Magnolia Wedding and Thank You Cards Share

Hi there!  It's been a long time since my last post...almost 7 months?!  Yikes.  I have been a little busy...  I've not been feeling well and it seems my craft mojo has been a little slow.
Well, this past weekend,  I finally got some crafty mojo flowing and even posted a video on YouTube.  ðŸ˜Š

I used Copic markers to color my Magnolia Tilda stamp images.  The paper is from a Michaels Hot Purchase paper pack, and also from Hobby Lobby.  The Eiffel tower die cut is from Sizzix (Tim Holtz).  I hope you like them!  Thank you for stopping by!  ~ Evie  ;)

Magnolia Cards!

Hi Everybody!  My goodness, it's been much too long.  I finally got some creative mojo flowing, and decided to take a few minutes to record a video and take some snap shots of my newly created cards.

I am in love with the Magnolia stamps, and I finally, got the courage to start practicing coloring the images with Copic markers.  I started out watching YouTube tutorials (thanks to so many talented colorists that share their process) and before I knew it, I was coloring images!

I have a long way to go, but I'm really excited how these turned out!  I definitely got inspiration from Pinterest and on YouTube.  Right now, Nurse Larelle on YouTube is hosting a fabulous project hop featuring Magnolia stamps with an amazing group of talented paper crafters presenting new projects daily!  It's call the Mega Magnolia March.  There are loads of sponsors giving away prizes too!  Go
check it out!   Click here to visit Nurse Larelle's Kick-off to the Mega Magnolia March Event!

Click here to see my video on these new cards I just made!

To make my cards, I used the corrugated card base from Michaels.  I used an assortment of Spellbinders dies, doilies, flowers from Recollections, bling from Michaels, and of course, Copic markers for the coloring.  Please let me know what you think!

Thanks so much for stopping by to look.  Have a great week - and happy scrapping! ~Evie ;)
